We miss you all! Our office has been closed since March 12, 2020 and this time of social distancing has been a challenge for all of us.
- We admire the healthcare workers on the front lines and first responders, are in awe of parents who have taken on the role of teachers and teachers who have harnessed technology for learning, and thankful for grocery store employees, delivery drivers, garbage pickup and all the other men and women who are making it easier for us to shelter in place.
- We understand that loneliness may be present especially for seniors who are a precious resource in our community, anyone who lives alone and those who experience anxiety and depression.
- We know how concerned many of you are about not only your overall health, but your dental health, since some of you have reached out to us by phone and email.
Please know how important you are to us and we are eager to see you. However, at this time, we are still unclear as to when and how we will open. We certainly must follow state and federal guidelines, adhere to CDC recommendations and listen to the national and local dental agencies regarding re-opening.
Until we reopen:
- If you have a dental emergency, please reach out to us. We are here for you. Call 973-377-6500 and leave a message – the machine is being checked regularly. The doctor’s cell numbers are on the machine if you would like to call us directly. If email is easier, use: info@adamsdentalnj.com, drallison@adamsdentalnj.com or drmark@adamsdentalnj.com.
- Keep your mouth healthy by brushing and flossing daily, eating healthy foods, and avoiding smoking. Especially if you have gum disease, know that flossing and adding a daily mouth rinse (either over the counter or homemade saline rinse) is beneficial to keep the bad bacteria in your mouth under control.
- The one positive thing that has come out of this experience is the generosity of the community. Please let us know if there is anything we can do to help you. We have contacts in the community and can help with food shopping, food assistance, and mental health care.
I will say it again, we miss you! The team has been virtually meeting or having text threads and they all are excited for the day we can return.
Love to you all and please stay safe,
Dr. Adams |
